Year: 2006
Program: Windows Movie Maker
Music: Evanescence - Going Under
Footage: Labyrinth & Evanescence: Anywhere But Home
Info: I originally tried to make this video with Nero but my editor was acting up so I was forced to use WMM.  I think it came out nicely anyway.

Program: Nero Vision Express
Music: Evanescence - Hello
Footage: The Exorcism of Emily Rose
Info: I made this video per request from a person who mailed me on Myspace.  The original mpg file had no errors...but when I converted it to WMV so it would be easier for download on the net I ran into some framerate issues.  I believe it was due to the source video I used.  Regardless, the video is still very watchable and still quite good.  So I decided to post it in spite of its errors.  I think people will be able to look past the few moments of framerate skips and see the feeling I was trying to capture with this video.  If you have never seen this movie...I highly recommend it.  It's not your normal horror movie.  It actually makes you think about science and metaphysics.  Believe what you want, but you can't deny the message.

Music: Metallica - Battery
Footage: Doom
Info: I finally saw the movie Doom...and even though there was no Hell in the movie...I felt that the movie captured the feel of the game.  The First Person sequence in the movie was such a perfect homage to the game that I had to make a vid featuring this sequence in its entirety.  The hard part was finding a song that would work with the sequence from beginning to end.  I think I finally settled on the perfect song.

Music: Enigma - The Gravity of Love
Footage: Star Trek - First Contact / Insurrection / Nemesis
Info: This has been a long time coming.  I am a huge Star Trek fan...no I dont dress up in Klingon make-up and all that, but I do love Star Trek.  This was a Tribute video to a few of the movies with the TNG crew.  I wanted to express the different levels of emotion Star Trek has layered within it.  ST is probably one of the most well written series ever.  If you havent given it a chance before...maybe you should.  Star Trek could teach you alot about the human condition.  You can expect alot more of these types of vids from me.

Music: Coheed and Cambria - Apollo I: The Writing Writer
Footage: Star Trek - First Contact
Info: I really felt this song had a very mechanical sound to it.  The singer's voice is almost like circutry going haywire.  The music leads that ordered chaos that the Borg imply.  I focused mainly the different levels of combat with the Borg...starting with the space battles and eventually working to personel battles, ending on the Borg Queen's death.  See if you can see how my edits match the musical tempo, like when Data saves Picard from the Borg...as he restrains the Borg the music sorta has a resticted declining tempo...and as soon as the music recovers Data breaks the Borgs neck.

Music: Coheed and Cambria - The Willing Well IV The Final Cut
Footage: High Tension
Info: I enjoyed this movie and its twisted story.  I tried to make this video contain the tensious feel of the movie.  Through careful editing and planning I was able to match scenes with lyrical content.  A little warning though...it's quite gorey.

Music: Evanescence - Breathe No More (Live)
Footage: Anywhere But Home & Evanescence Videos
Info: I haven't made a full Evanescence video yet.  I was never sure which song I would use or what I would do to fill time.  Breathe No More seemed like the most logical choice.  The live footage is great and the Videos I used melded well with the lyrical content.

Music: Korn - Word Up!
Footage: Shaun of the Dead
Info: I don't do many comedic vids...but I felt it was time to do one again.  Pay attention to the details...like when the lyrics say "There's got to be a reason and we know the reason why."  I matched Ed's mouth movements to the lyrics...so it looks like he says Reason and Reason why.  It is just one of the many things I did in this video.  Also pay attention to the ending...Phillip turns the radio in the car off when the song comes to an end.

Music: Lacuna Coil - To The Edge
Footage: Constantine
Info: Lacuna Coil is a good band.  I havent done any vids for them until now.  Constantine seemed to match the song really good.  The video has a good tempo.  Ill probably be making more Lacuna vids in time.

Music: Evanescence - Bring Me To Life
Footage: Anywhere But Home & The NeverEnding Story
Info: I've never seen anyone do a video for The NeverEnding Story...it's a shame bcuz this movie is a classic.  This song fits so well.  Pay attention to the end when the Empress says "Call my name"...I matched it to the song.  It took alot of editing by seperating the words, stretching and shrinking certain words till it fit the song perfectly.
